Druid Holds – Dolmen Series – Complete Set (set of 14)

Description

A dolmen is a prehistoric stone table — massive flat slabs stacked into something that has stood for five thousand years. The Dolmen series is built on the same idea: flat-backed wooden holds designed to be stacked, mounted onto volumes, screwed onto each other, and rearranged as the wall demands.

The flat back face holds screws better than any synthetic material. Pull them off, reposition them, use them again without degrading the surface.

Capstone — XL Jugs (×2). Two large jugs with a flat back face. On the wall: comfortable, positive, reliable. Off the wall: a building block. Mount them flush against the lip of a volume to extend it, or stack them to change an angle. Not a mirrored pair — each hand variant has its own character.

Slab — Slopers (×4). Four large-to-XL slopey rails. One face is flat, the other a proper rounded sloper — friction-dependent, technical, honest. The flat face mounts cleanly against volumes and boards; the rounded face challenges you.

Chock — Crimps (×4). Four blocky flat-faced crimps for filling gaps that nothing else quite fits. Named for climbing’s original problem-solvers, the chockstones jammed into cracks before cams existed. They go where the route needs something, and they hold it together.

Shim — Plates (×4). Four small flat plates — small crimps and footers with the geometry of a stacker. Add a footer and you have a pinch. Stack two and you have a new hold shape. The smallest piece in the series, and you’ll use more of them than you expect.
